How are Club rides scheduled? |
|
How are rides created and scheduled? All rides published in the monthly ride schedule in the club newsletter are scheduled by the Ride Planning Committee (RPC) prior to the beginning of the ride planning year. The planning year for rides is April 1 through March 31 Given enough notice, new rides can be added to this schedule. To add a new ride, you need to supply a cue sheet to the Ride Coordinator. The cue sheet should contain detailed turn by turn directions, mileages and a terrain rating for the ride. The Ride Coordinator will assign a Tour Number to the ride and will forward the cue sheet to the Cue Sheet Librarian to be uploaded into the Club’s Rides database. Once a Tour Number is assigned, the ride will be available either to be scheduled by the RPC or to be proposed as an ad hoc ride by any Club member. When does the Ride Planning Committee Meet? The Committee meets every other month to discuss ride planning issues or other policy matters in regard to the Club’s rides program. If you would like to attend a meeting of the Ride Planning Committee, please contact the Ride Coordinator.
